Montreal World Partnership Walk 2010

Montreal World Partnership Walk 2010
Jun 06, 2010

The World Partnership Walk is Canada’s largest national event to fight global poverty. It takes place in nine cities across the country and is organized almost entirely by volunteers. Last year was the Walk’s 25th anniversary and it attracted the support of more than 70,000 people, including more than 35,000 participants on Walk day, raising over $6.5 million. Among them were more than 750 corporate and community teams.

All of the funds – 100% – go directly to development initiatives supported by Aga Khan Foundation Canada, such as health care, education and rural development. These programs help people help themselves by giving them hope and restoring their quality of life and livelihoods through sustainable solutions.
