Governor General of Canada, Michaelle Jean, to Be Honored With Annual United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) Canada Award (2009)

OTTAWA, ONTARIO–(Marketwire – May 10, 2010) – The United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) Canada is honoured to announce that Her Excellency, The Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, has been selected as the recipient of the UNIFEM Canada Award.

Almas Jiwani, President of the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) Canada, will present Her Excellency with the Award in the presence of select dignitaries during a ceremony at Rideau Hall on the 2nd of June, 2010.
