Karachi, Pakistan: Aga Khan University is conducting a Special Lecture Series programme on April 14. The special guest speaker on the occasion will be Abdul Sattar Edhi President Founder of the Edhi Foundation, the largest welfare organisation in Pakistan.
Mr Edhi is a renowned philanthropist and social worker. He has been involved in not only providing medical and social aid to the needy in Pakistan but in other parts of the world as well. He was
conferred the Nishan-e-Imtiaz in 1985 by the then President of Pakistan for his services. In his lecture he will be speaking on the challenges of providing emergency medical care in disaster stricken areas.
